Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to basic agronomy revolving around row crop production in the Midwest. The subject matter presented will provide an overview of major aspects of plant and soil management, pest control, and historical and economics importance of crop plants for food, feed and fiber. Students will gain a basic knowledge of plant physiology and how soil, environment conditions, and crop pests can affect growth and development.
