Catalog description
This course introduces the essential biomedical knowledge needed to prepare for advanced emergency medical care coursework. Emphasis is placed on human anatomy and physiology, common disease processes, and lifespan development concepts relevant to emergency care. This preparatory course helps students build the knowledge base required for success in advanced patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based EMS practice.
