[CCU] [OI] [WI] The course explores interaction of environment, economics, and public policy in context of peace and sustainable development. Course topics include: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well -being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduced Inequalities, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life on Land, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for the Goals. Required for the A.A. degree. College Preparatory Program Courses Level 1 Courses CPP 1LS / Integrated English Studies: Beginner Listening & Speaking / 4 hours Instruction in beginner academic listening and speaking skills. CPP 1RD / Integrated English Studies: Beginner Reading Skills & Discussion / 5 hours Instruction in beginner academic reading skills, vocabulary, and discussion. CPP 1WG / Integrated English Studies: Beginner Writing & Grammar / 5 hours Instruction in beginner academic writing and grammar for writing. ES 22 / The Foundations of Earth Science / 4 hours Introductory course covering the study of Earth Sciences. TOE 1 / TOEFL Preparation I / 4 hours This course prepares beginner students to take the TOEFL ITP. The TOEFL ITP measures a student’s ability to use and understand English at the university level. This course includes instruction of English grammatical structure, reading, vocabulary, and listening comprehension. Level 2 Courses AMST 22 / The Foundations of American Studies / 4 hours An introduction to culture, history, and issues related to the United States. CPP 2LS / Integrated English Studies: Lower-Intermediate Listening & Speaking / 4 hours Instruction in lower-intermediate academic listening and speaking skills.
