Introduction to Statistics

Catalog description

Study of descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics will include exploratory data analysis, methods of visualizing data using Excel, descriptive statistics, central limit theorem, normal and binomial distributions, estimations, probability, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and chi-square statistics. MATH 140X / Precalculus / 4 credits Functions, with special attention to polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, complex numbers, plane trigonometry, polar coordinates, and conic sections.
