CoReq: (Nurs 120 and Nurs 120L) or (Nurs 153 and Nurs 153L) Introduces the principles of pharmacology, including pharmacokinet - ics, pharmacodynamics, medication interactions, potential adverse medication reactions, and legal, ethical and safety aspects of medica- tion administration. Emphasis is on nursing responsibilities such as maximizing therapeutic effects of drug therapy and minimizing adverse effects, appropriate patient/family teaching, and ongoing patient as- sessment.
