“C” or better in Nurs 203 CoReq: Nurs 151 and Nurs 151L and Nurs 157 This clinical practicum focuses on the care of adult and older adult patients with health alterations that require medical and/or surgical intervention. Emphasis is placed on the care of patients with moderately complex needs and outcomes. Concepts of patient-centered care, cultural sensitivity, informatics, safe practice, and professionalism are integrated throughout the course. Correlated clinical experiences emphasize clinical decision-making, patient care management includ- ing prioritization of care, and development of psychomotor skills.
