“C” or better in Nurs 203) or (“C” or better in Nurs 250 and “C” or better in Nurs 250L) CoReq: Nurs 151L; and (Nurs 157 and Nurs 157L) or (Nurs 255 and Nurs 255L) Focuses on the care of clients across the lifespan experiencing cogni- tive, mental, and behavioral disorders. Emphasis is on nursing manage- ment of clients and families experiencing disruptions in psychosocial functioning. Concepts of crisis intervention, therapeutic communication, anger management, and coping skills are integrated throughout the course. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to ap- ply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to patients in mental health settings throughout the health continuum.
