CoReq: MWIM 172 Special processes of pipe joint preparation and pattern development for basic fittings for heating and air-conditioning type work; all-position electric pipe welding; aluminum and stainless steel welding with Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metallic Inert Gas (MIG); advanced arc welding techniques of vertical and overhead weld positions for the guided Tensile Bend Weld Tester Machine; test preparation for Welding Certification American Welding Society’s D1.1-68 Structural Codes; rigging procedures and safety; types of rigging, common materials, and methods; basic characteristics: size, weight, and center of gravity; and use of rigging sling type and hitches: vertical, bridle, basket, and chokers. (16 lec/lab hrs.) Management
