Catalog description

An in-depth look at classics from cinematic productions of various countries based in a cultural and historical context. Includes a selection of films by a variety of directors and genres from the silent era into the present. Students will consider films that have been affected by culture and films that have affected culture. Any nation that has a broad film history can be showcased. May include but not limited to: American, British, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Indian, Italian, Japanese, or Soviet/Russian cinema. Country chosen varies by instructor.
