Catalog description

CoReq: Fire 101 and Fire 151 Course describes the Incident Command System (ICS). Principle fea- tures are: management by objectives, chain of command, transfer of command, organizational flexibility, integrated communications, com- mon terminology, and developing an Incident Action Plan. In addition, Homeland Security Presidential Directive-5 requires all federal, state and local agencies to adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS) which ICS is part of.
