Catalog description

Students will produce original work in the following genres: creative nonfiction, drama, fiction, and poetry. Includes reading and analyzing published works and discussions of each student’s writing. May be repeated for credit, up to 9 credits. Eng 215—Research Writing for Humanities and Social Sci- ences (3) Recommended: Students should have experience in using computers for research and writing. Building on reading and writing skills acquired in English 100 and Eng- lish 102, course emphasizes academic reading, writing, and research skills for students in Humanities and Social Sciences. Focuses on blending at least two or three rhetorical modes, using MLA and APA documentation styles, in writing informative, analytical, and argumenta- tive essays supported by research.
