Catalog description

Recommended: Experience using computers for writing Designed specifically for non-native speakers of English and aims to empower English language learners to become proficient and self reli- ant writers of academic English. Its framework includes: 1) extensive development of academic vocabulary, 2) explicit instruction to address common grammar errors for English language learners, 3) attention to listening and speaking skills, 4) consideration for aspects of American culture and American academic writing conventions, and 5) emphasis in the construction of clear, effective university-level prose with attention to all stages of the writing process.
