Introduces botany and plant physiology. Discusses plant nutrients, moisture, environmental requirements and plant propagation. Stud- ies culture and production techniques for selected ornamental crops. Plant propagation techniques and the cultivation of selected economic crops will be covered using a student garden and greenhouse. (3 lec hrs., 3 lab hrs.)
