Catalog description

An introduction to various horticultural enterprises, commonly cultivated in Hawai‘i during the Spring each year. The course includes field preparation considerations, propagation, controlling the environment, pest control, fertilization, and marketing. The enterprises include flo- ral, vegetable, fruits, and foliage crops. The “hands-on” approach to agriculture production is employed and farm record keeping for farm management is stressed. (12 lec/lab hrs.)
