Catalog description

An introductory level metalworking course that focuses on the making of basic hand tools for the trades. Introduction to basic steel metallurgy, hot forging, heat treating and grinding operations performed on tooling. Emphasis is on safety in the use of metalworking equipment and understanding of process fundamentals. Not open to students who have successfully completed WLD-56. Advisory: WLD-151
