Catalog description

Introduction to professional behaviors, attitudes, and values that lead to academic and professional success in nursing. Historical trends that influenced the role of the nurse as a knowledge-worker and current educational preparation will be explored. Individual working and learning styles, communication methods, and stress reduction are key topics. A learning environment is created to foster collaboration and curiosity. Prerequisite: Admissions to the Registered Nursing Program.
