Catalog description

The third course in the agricultural mechatronics sequence for indoor processing of value-added agricultural products. Students will learn how to install, maintain, calibrate, and program automated equipment used in these facilities. Topics include process control (the movement of water using automation), industrial motor controls, applied Industry 4.0, product identification, smart sensors, advanced programmable logic controllers and human machine interface, and robotic systems. Work appropriate clothing is required for this course including (but not limited to) long pants that cover the wearer to the ankle and closed-toe shoes.
