Catalog description

An overview of fundamental concepts of modern mathematics for liberal arts students. Introduces non-science majors to a variety of mathematical ideas, methods, and historical trends. Core topics are logic, set theory, numeration systems, number systems, number theory, axiomatic theories and models, and methods of proof.
