Catalog description

An introduction to the discipline of public health. An overview of terminologies and basic concepts of public health, public health professions, institutions, and public health disciplines will be provided. Areas of public health such as epidemiology, prevention and control of diseases in the community, analysis of social determinants of health, health disparities, community health promotion programming, environmental health and safety, global health, and healthcare policy will be covered.
