Catalog description

A broad survey of the development of economic ideas and theories in the context of economic schools of thought. Both microeconomic and macroeconomic topics are covered including scarcity, opportunity costs, supply and demand (both individual and aggregate), market structures, labor markets, the business cycle, government intervention including regulations, fiscal policy and monetary policy, and international issues such as international trade and global income distribution. Not open to students who have completed ECO-1 and ECO-5 with a "C" or better. [CSU; UC; CSU-GE, AREA D2; IGETC, AREA 4] Adviosry: Eligibility for ENG-1A
