Catalog description

An introduction to the study of marine life. Emphasis on the fundamentals of biology, with a survey of the prokaryotes, algae, invertebrates, vertebrates and their physiology and ecology. Field trips are scheduled. Recommended for non-science majors who desire a general knowledge and appreciation of life in the sea. [CSU; UC; CSU-GE, AREA B2, B3; IGETC, AREA 5]
