Catalog description

Intermediate study of clay and ceramic materials; their use in the creation of art objects utilizing slab, coil, and potter's wheel methods; the origin, use and mixing of glazes, including exploration of firing methods. Survey of the history of ceramics from a world perspective. Students will provide their own clay tools and optional materials (aprons, sponges, towels, etc.) Approximate cost is 15 to 20 dollars.
