Catalog description

An introductory study of clay and ceramic materials: their use in the creation of art objects by slab and coil methods; introduction to the potter's wheel and the use of glazes. Survey of the history of ceramics through diverse cultures around the world. Students must provide their own clay tools and optional materials (aprons, sponges, towels, etc.) Approximate cost 15 to 20 dollars.
