Catalog description

A survey of the range of cultural phenomena including language, patterns of subsistence, economic organization, marriage and the family, kinship, political organization, religion, the arts, and culture change. Examples taken from a wide range of foraging, tribal, and complex state societies are employed to illustrate the methodology, concepts, and theories of anthropological science.
