Catalog description

This course investigates the fundamentals of meteorology and the effects of weather and climate. This course stresses the interconnectedness of the natural world, demonstrably built on the foundations and building blocks of the basic physical sciences. The student pursues an understanding of the atmosphere and the importance of the sciences, including the scientific method of research. Upon completing this course, the student will have increased knowledge of the atmosphere’s structure, processes, and changes, and be able to create their own forecasts.
