This course centers on the overlap of soil science, environmental science, and geology. Our goal is to explain the fundamental principles in soil sciences and introduce the concept of the “Critical Zone,” where water, rock, biology, and atmosphere interact as a system. Three hours of lecture, three hours of laboratory per week.
