Catalog description

The student explores the engineering-design process using appropriate computer-based modeling software through hands-on team projects. The student will use knowledge of CAD software and previous mechanical proficiency from the introductory physics course to help design and build a final working prototype. Weekly design reports featuring planning, budgeting, and testing engineering products help solve engineering problems and enhance project skills. This course provides significant components of competitive engineering programs and key-required written and presentation skills. The student also completes a required separate one-credit lab course. Three hours of lecture, three hours of laboratory per week.
