Bio-Organic Chemistry

Catalog description

This course is designed as an advanced undergraduate study of the structure and reactivity of carbon-based biomolecules. Approximately one-half of the course is devoted to a description of the structure and chemical properties of bio-organic compounds. The second half of the course draws upon the concepts from organic and inorganic chemistry in order to investigate enzymatic reactions and metabolism.
