Clinical Microbiology Lab

Catalog description

The laboratory will introduce the student to hands-on basic microbiological practices such as aseptic technique, bacteria culture, bacteria identification tests, microscope use, microbe staining techniques, and maintenance of microbial cultures such as fungi, bacteria, bacteriophage and protozoa as well as synthesizing in-depth lab reports. Limited to the student enrolled in the UPMC Partnership Program.
