Catalog description

This course is designed for the student who needs a broad coverage of microbiology and has little or no background in biology or chemistry. The relationship between host and parasite is emphasized, especially as related to human disease, epidemiology, and infection control. A broad range of infectious diseases are covered, including etiologic agent identification, modes of transmission, and prevention. Limited to the student enrolled in the UPMC Partnership Program.
