Catalog description

This course introduces the basic principles of costume design and construction. Students explore the history of costume, design and sketching of costume concepts, construction methods, sewing techniques, equipment usage, and skills necessary to the entire costuming process. Students are expected to serve on a costume crew for one production during the semester. Course includes 30 hours of lecture and 30 hours of studio per semester. Course fee.
