This course studies the physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and depressants, psychoactive drugs, stimulants and hallucinogens on the user and abuser. Topics include the effects of drugs taken in combination, drug classification, absorption, distribution, metabolism, half-life, tolerance, cross-tolerance and elimination.
