Catalog description

(same as EDU 273) Studies the physical, social, mental, and emotional characteristics of the exceptional child, from birth through high school. Includes an overview of identification measures, instructional and assistive technology, differentiated instructional strategies, Universal Design for Learning, and legal and ethical considerations. Requires classroom observation hours. Prerequisites: PSY 113 and 223 or PSY 333, or consent of instructor.
