Supervised Counseling Intern I

Catalog description

Students are required to complete 6 semester hours of field experience in a clinical setting. The student will provide mental health services which may include individual, family, and group therapy, mental health assessment, case management, and clinical documentation while working under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional. Students will also attend a class that entails group supervision by a faculty member and clinically-oriented course objectives. Prerequisite: 30 core MAC credits including MAC 5110, 5220, 5250, 5200 (or 5210). Corequisite: MAC 5140.
