Catalog description

Addresses several types of public speaking situations. The course includes the practice of personal narrative speaking, informative speaking, persuasive speaking, and Monroe’s motivational speaking. Course also addresses persuasive speaking by using a refutation style of argumentation for a final argument/debate style speech. Prerequisite: CAS 101. 3 hours CHRISTIAN EDUCATION Special Topics and Advanced Topics courses are offered on occasion to meet special needs of students. These variable credit-hour courses are offered at all levels (191, 291, 391, 491).
