Catalog description

The course is designed to introduce students to a basic understanding of events and ideas during the tumultuous era of religious and social change in Europe, from 1500 to 1660, from Martin Luther to George Fox. A focal point of the readings will be the view of community held by reformers and their followers, in a religious, political, and social sense. Fulfills humanities requirement (1998).
