Catalog description
A comparative study of the modern major cultural domains of the world: 1) East Asia, 2) Middle East, and Near East, 3) Europe, and the 4) Americas. A global perspective of culture will be acquired through the experience of representative works of art, literature, philosophy and religion. Emphasis will be on the transition of cultures to the modern world and the interaction of cultures in the modern world. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-3, CSU-C2, IGETC-3B, Cal-GETC-3B)
