Catalog description
This course is a historical survey of the United States, from Indigenous North America to the end of Reconstruction. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. The course explores the origin and development of significant American institutions, ideals, constitutional features and various social, cultural, and ideological struggles. Formerly HIST 108. Not open to students with credit in HIST 108. (C-ID HIST 130) (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-4, CSU-D, IGETC-4, Cal-GETC-4)
