Catalog description
An introductory course to the German language and the cultures of its speakers. This course is designed for students with very little or no knowledge of German. It facilitates the practical application of the language in everyday oral and written communication at the beginning level. Since the focus will be on basic communication skills, the class will be conducted in German as much as possible. Students will learn structures that will enable them to function in German in everyday contexts while becoming familiar with the German speaking world. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-3, CSU-C2, IGETC-6A)
