Catalog description

This is a beginning badminton course in which students will develop the basic skills necessary to play the game of badminton. Instructional focus includes the overhead and underhand clears, footwork, racket grips, court diagram and markings, and fundamental strategies and rules used in both singles and doubles play. Additionally, the course will address the influence of nutrition, health concerns, injury prevention, and strategies for lifelong health and wellness. (CSU/UC) (AA/AS-7B)
