Catalog description

Students in this course will consider the day-to-day moral dilemmas as they design, maintain, and deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This course is focused on understanding the types of ethical problems as they have arisen in the AI field and understanding their causes. This course also examines overarching potential harms in AI usage. Students will examine case studies, current debates, and emerging trends with the goals of constructing strategies for how to navigate the complex ethical landscape of AI. This course is offered on a pass/no pass basis only. This is a no fee/no credit course.
