Catalog description

This course is intended for students with no previous or very limited training in Spanish. Through total immersion in the target language, students will develop communicative competence in order to be active users of the language and gain confidence in speaking and interacting in real life situations. Students will gain cultural competence in the Spanish-speaking world, including the US, by reading cultural texts, researching cultural topics, and learning about customs and values of Spanish-speaking peoples. Prerequisite: none. STAFF.
