The history, religion, and thought of early Christianity as recorded in the New Testament. Special attention to the formation of this biblical literature, the theology of the various writers, and the development of major New Testament motifs in relation to the Hebrew Bible. Prerequisite: Second-year standing or one 100-level "Studying Religion" course. RIETZ.
