Catalog description

This course explores how humans perceive, understand, and create music in light of the advances in psychology, neuroscience, and music theory. Topics include the origins of music, the perception of music structure, musical development, music and the brain, music and emotion, the mental processes in musicking, and music therapy. Prerequisite: Second-year standing. CHA
