Catalog description
Provides the family nurse practitioner (FNP) students a platform to explore the competencies and enact the role of the FNP. The course highlights a sound conceptual basis for practice and an appreciation for evidence-based care. Emphasizes using evidence-based practice frameworks to accurately assess and manage most common acute and chronic illnesses and evaluate outcomes. Students work with a variety of clients in the primary care setting with course faculty oversight and clinical preceptor supervision.
