Catalog description
Focuses on mathematical reasoning and solving real-life problems rather than on routine skills and appreciation. Topics studied in depth include geometry, counting techniques and probability, graph theory, logic/set theory, mathematical modeling, mathematics of finance, game theory, linear programming and statistics. The use of calculators and computers are strongly encouraged. If a student has not already completed a college level math course, they will need to complete the ALEKS exam.
