Jr Seminar: Best Practices

Catalog description

This junior seminar addresses best practices in elementary education in three areas: 1) creating a student-centered learning environment through trauma-responsive and relational pedagogies, 2) implementing effective instructional strategies, 3) employing effective classroom management techniques, including mindfulness practices, supporting social emotional learning for students, and developing candidates' own social emotional competencies. This seminar is a writing intensive course.
