Field Experience 2: Preprimary

Provides supervised experiences in the preprimary classroom to observe, facilitate, and assess the learning and development of children in preschool and kindergarten. Includes planning and teaching developmentally appropriate lessons and activities to preschool and kindergarten children, specifically focusing on science and social studies content. Involves the use and integration of technology in learning experiences. Focuses on creating and maintaining appropriate environments and implementing classroom management strategies. Emphasizes reflection of experiences in the field, as well as the knowledge and skills of each candidate. Integrates research-based strategies in the classroom. Fieldwork: once a week each week in the semester.
