Examines the content, methods, and materials for teaching math in early childhood education. Focuses on the concepts and skills related to measurement, geometry, and data, as well as effective strategies and approaches for teaching and assessing them. Integrates meaningful mathematics curriculum and pedagogy that align with key learning goals and standards. Emphasizes effective and engaging learning environments that support mathematical understanding, assessing students' mathematical thinking and learning outcomes, and leveraging technology in appropriate and meaningful ways to enhance instruction. Provides opportunities to engage in and design engaging learning experiences. Explores best practices for teaching measurement, geometry, and data to diverse learners.
