Catalog description

Examines the content, methods, and materials for teaching math in early childhood education. Focuses on the concepts and skills related to numbers, operations, and algebraic thinking, as well as effective approaches and strategies for teaching and assessing them. Integrates meaningful mathematics curriculum and pedagogy that align with key learning goals and standards. Emphasizes effective and engaging learning environment that supports mathematical understanding, assessing students' mathematical thinking and learning outcomes, and leveraging technology in appropriate and meaningful ways to enhance instruction. Provides opportunities to engage in and design engaging learning experiences. Explores best practices for teaching numbers, operations, and algebraic thinking to diverse learners.
